Recorded in Los Angeles with top American session musicians including Lee Ritenour, Joe Sample, and Jim Gordon, the album pioneered Japanese City Pop and AOR. Arranger Hitoshi Hoshi brought rock textures, smooth melodies, and sophisticated harmonies to the sound, moving away from traditional acoustic folk.
