A compelling later work from Japanese drummer Takeo Moriyama – lesser-known than his signature releases, yet showcasing the artist in peak form. The album radiates confidence from the opening moments, driven by the sophisticated interplay of Nobumasa Tannka's piano, Hideaki Mockhizuki's bass, and saxophonists Eiji Otogawa and George Garzone. Garzone delivers a standout performance, among his finest from this era. Extended compositions explore themes across "Tribute To Trane", "Sunrise", "Fox In The Woods", "Sound River", and "Hey Open Up".
