Description
In mid 1966 John Harris of The Bluestars penned NZ's first punk single Social End Product released by Allied International in September that year.
Now considered the holy grail of NZ freakbeat and sixties punk, the single is coveted by collectors of the genre worldwide.
Originally released on Flying Nun in 1992; this 2018 Wild Things reissue is the 26th anniversary collection of filthy, fuzzy and out of control mayhem from the bottom of the world.
Kiwi teens armed with locally manufactured guitars and amplifiers overdriven through homemade fuzz boxes out prettying The Pretty Things with the Mod-ish ferocity of The Who and strong doses of Yardbirdish rave-ups.
These 16 skull busting mashers were recorded under basic conditions in primitive studios.
