Wewantsounds proudly presents a reissue of the iconic 1975 album We Malo by the legendary Arabic diva Warda, whose work has been sampled by artists like Jay Z and J Dilla. This release fuses traditional Arabic music with 1970s rhythms, highlighting Warda’s unique vocal delivery. Accompanied by a full orchestra and enhanced with contemporary instruments such as electric guitar and organ, the album was composed by Baligh Hamdi. The reissue offers freshly remastered sound, the original cassette artwork, and a two-page booklet featuring a new introduction by Mario Choueiry of the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris.
