The Beach Boys 'Summer Days (And Summer Nights!!)' is a slight step back from Today!, with a mix of standout tracks and forgettable ones. The best songs show a more sophisticated side, like the #1 hit "Help Me, Rhonda" and the symphonic "California Girls." However, there are some weak tracks, such as "Amusement Park U.S.A." and "Salt Lake City." Two standout LP-only tracks are "Let Him Run Wild," a soulful ballad featuring a great Brian Wilson falsetto, and "Girl Don't Tell Me," with a beautiful melody and strong lead vocal from Carl Wilson.
