A standout Japanese fusion release from Lee Ritenour's prolific 70s output, this album seamlessly blends Brazilian rhythmic influences with sophisticated electric arrangements. Featuring contributions from guitarist Eric Gale and keyboardist Patrice Rushen, the record balances smooth, soulful grooves with organic warmth that cuts through the polished fusion sound of its era. Tracks include "Morning Glory," "That's The Way Of The World," "Slippin In The Back Door," "Tomorrow," "Lady Soul," and the title track "Sugar Loaf Express."
