Still Bewitched by Look Blue Go Purple showcases the band's unique sound developed in Dunedin during Flying Nun’s ‘second wave’ (along with Doublehappys, and Straitjacket Fits'). Their distinctive style features layered vocal harmonies, keyboards, and flute over characteristic guitar strum and tribal beats. Despite being an all-female group, they rejected gender labels, focusing solely on their musical contribution through three influential EPs.
