Split Decision Band

For decades, Split Decision Band has been revered by deep soul, funk, and disco enthusiasts for their rare 7” record, "Watching Out/Dazed". Now-Again Records founder Egon tracked down vocalist/songwriter Gordon Starr Flipping, expecting to discover even more from the group. What he unearthed was revealing: an album of never-before-heard disco and boogie made in the unlikely city of Des Moines, Iowa. Flipping's collaborations with Prince made him a Midwestern star, but his band's music exceeds even this estimation. With the release of their album, the team's merits are finally validated.
