Description

Formed in 1984 at The Red House in Auckland,  New Zealand, the band that would eventually be known as ROBERT, initially went by the name ?FOG. The group's sound was a mixture of anarchic, anti-success vibes and playful humor, featuring a heavy rhythm section and noisy, groove-laden guitar. After adding Sam Swan on vocals to complete their lineup and touring as a three-piece, they eventually changed their name to ROBERT and released their full-length LP, "ROBERT THE RECORD," in 1986, thanks to a grant from the Queen Elizabeth II Arts Council of New Zealand. This special 40th anniversary reissue includes a 16-page booklet of photos and an interview with band members conducted by Stuart Page.lus, a reprint of the bonus questionnaire that was included in the original release.
