John Butler', one of Australia's leading independent musicians, has announced the September 5 release of his tenth studio album, PRISM, now available for pre-order. Though featuring a full-band sound, PRISM was created solely by Butler alongside producer James Ireland (POND, San Cisco), who shared performance and production duties. This album marks Butler’s official move away from the John Butler Trio, embracing the one-man “band” concept that defined his early busking years. Showcasing his ARIA-winning musicianship, PRISM combines intensely personal songwriting with expansive soundscapes, powerful guitars, commanding percussion, and soaring choruses. The album offers a dynamic mix of radio-friendly hooks, festival-ready rock anthems, and thoughtful ballads. PRISM is the third installment in Butler’s Four Season series, following the reflective Running River and the instrumental Still Searching.
