This album was debut album by Masahiko Sato, one of Japan's leading jazz pianists, with Yasuo Arakawa (b) and Masahiko Togashi (ds), and except for a cover of The Beatles, all the songs were originally scored by Masahiko Sato. It's a wonderful work where you can feel that his luscious and outstanding performance had already blossomed in the early stages of his career, from modal arrangements to post-bop/free music. Masahiko Togashi's playing is very cool.
