Songs anchor themselves in her grandmother's wisdom: celebrate love and joy, even in chaos. Her parents appear on 'Nine Jeweled Prayer,' while a rare Tamil harp colours 'Sinathavar Mudikkum.' Woven throughout is poetic protest and prayer. Nilam—Tamil for 'land'—becomes both place and practice, a sonic landscape where music is home.
