Batov Records presents 'Nijerusalem', a collaboration between Nigerien synth pioneer Mamman Sani and Berlin-based electronic artist Tropikal Camel. Born from a two-week residency at Uganda's Nyege Nyege Festival, the album blends Mamman's synth melodies rooted in Nigerien folk traditions with Tropikal Camel's percussive electronic beats. Warm 80s synth sounds meet African electronic aesthetics across tracks like "Nomadic", "Touareg Spaceship", and "Venusian Lady"—a vocal debut of a composition originally recorded 50 years ago. An intimate exploration of cultural exchange and musical heritage.
