Percussionist Yoshisaburo "Sabu" Toyozumi – aka Sabu – leads a vibrant trio through three extended compositions by the Art Ensemble Of Chicago, a record that honours the creative spirit of the AACM. Raw, spiritually-grounded improvisation flows freely across each track: "Malachi's Tune," "Roscoe's Tune Odwalla," and "People In Sorrow." Toyozumi's diverse percussion work anchors performances from Syoji Ukaji on baritone sax, Ryoh Hara on piano, and Yoshiaki Fujikawa on alto sax – capturing the same organic, uncompromising energy that defines the Art Ensemble's legacy.
