Mercy

The Men, a New York band, have always been genre-fluid. On their eighth album Mercy, they've created three albums with the same lineup, yielding a distinctive sound. The album was recorded live at Serious Business to 2" tape, preserving an urgent tone. It's the sound of a band passionate about songwriting, working as one. Nick Chiericozzi's description of the band's process aptly sums up Mercy: it's like "three people walking through the door from the other direction."
