Azymuth's Marca Passo marks fifty years of the legendary Brazilian jazz-funk ensemble's evolution. Their first full-length album since the passing of founding drummer Ivan "Mamão" Conti, it showcases the band's signature fusion of MPB traditions with global influences. Led by sole original member Alex Malheiros alongside keyboardist Kiko Continentino and new drummer Renato Massa, the group continues their alchemic blend of cosmic samba soul and sophisticated musicianship. Produced by Daniel Maunick, the album honours the band's profound legacy whilst pushing their distinctive sound forward.
