The quintet includes Pharoah Sanders on tenor sax, Richard Davis on bass, and Jean-Paul Bourelly on electric guitar. Sanders' powerful tenor solos, reminiscent of Coltrane’s 1963 era yet infused with his distinctive gritty soulfulness, elevate the album’s dynamic sound.
