Archie Shepp's freewheeling 1960s session from the Donaueschingen festival. A single extended composition, "One For The Trane," featuring Shepp on tenor alongside Roswell Rudd and Grachan Moncur on trombones, Jimmy Garrison on bass, and Beaver Harris on drums. The dual trombone lineup creates a deep, rich sound while Garrison and Harris drive creative rhythms. Shepp's soulful playing maintains swing and structure even in free passages, echoing his finest Impulse Records work.
