Wewantsounds proudly extends its Algerian music reissue series with Freh Khodja’s coveted 1975 album, Ken Andi Habib. Recorded in Paris alongside Les Flammes, a collective of immigrant musicians, this LP is being reissued for the first time. Selected by Paris-based DJ Cheb Gero—renowned for compiling the Sweet Rebels Rai collection and curating the Abranis release for Wewantsounds—Ken Andi Habib artfully integrates Arabic music, jazz, Caribbean and Latin rhythms, Cape Verdean grooves, and funk. The reissue includes original artwork, remastered audio by Colorsound Studio, and a two-page booklet featuring new liner notes in French and English by Algerian journalist Rabah Mezouane.
