Kemo Sabe is pianist Masao Nakajima's rare 1979 debut, reissued by BBE Music as part of their J Jazz Masterclass Series. This acoustic gem features bassist Osamu Kawakami, saxophonist Toshiyuki Honda of Burning Waves, and American drummer Donald Bailey. Recorded during the electric fusion era, Kemo Sabe stands apart with its refined yet powerful acoustic approach. The title track, composed by Mike Nock, balances delicate interplay with vigorous energy. Includes exclusive liner notes with an interview featuring Masao Nakajima discussing the album's origins and his musical journey.
