Junk Scape

Junk Fujiyama, a leading figure in city pop, released their first major album under Victor in 2013. After debuting independently in 2009, the late drummer Shuichi "Ponta" Murakami was captivated by Fujiyama’s voice and formed a dedicated band to support him. This album features top-tier musicians including Ponta, Kiyotsugu Amano (G), Tsuyoshi Kon (G), Akira Okazawa (B), Masanori Sasaji (Key), Akira Inoue (Key), and Nov Saito (Per). It contains the extended version of their major debut single "Ano Sora no Mukougawa e," known from a popular TV commercial, alongside singles "PROUD/EGAO" and "Sheldal." The collection showcases an advanced city pop sound rooted in AOR, crossover, and funk influences.
