Junior Mance (piano), with Bob Cranshaw (bass) and Mickey Roker (drums), covers all jazz and blues bases, from boogie to stride to swing. Mance's delicate and romantic playing on "Creole Love Call" is complimented by Roker's expert brush work. Other highlights include a lively "Jumpin' the Blues" and Mance's own compositions, showcasing a mix of jazz and blues in equal parts. Recommended.
