I See You (Deluxe)

The XX's third album is bolder, with a disco and pop influenced sound and passionate vocals. Jamie xx's solo work foreshadows this change, while songs like "On Hold" showcase his production skills. The band takes chances with songs like "Say Something Loving" and "I Dare You", and even when they pare back, they push themselves in subtle ways. However, sometimes the self-awareness becomes repetitive. Despite this, I See You is captivating and shows growth since their debut.
