Holocene is the second album from Edinburgh electronic musician Doug MacDonald, aka Exterior. Building on the visceral dance floor energy of his debut album Umbilical Digital (2022), this project blends live drumming, processed vocals, modular synthesis, and heavily textured beats into intense, physically driven productions. MacDonald's work balances raw sonic impact with introspective depth, creating music designed to move both body and mind.
