Hello Herbie

Guitarist Herb Ellis is a fan of this recording, which saw him reunite with his previous collaborator, Oscar Peterson. The latter's trio of the period--comprising bassist Sam Jones and drummer Bobby Durham--were also present, elevating the vibe to a jam session feel. The chord changes are comparatively simple, such as "Seven Come Eleven" and three blues, and both Ellis and Peterson demonstrate evident enthusiasm for the project.
