Hasheeda

The Treble Spankers were a Dutch band in the mid 90's that came out of long list of cult/underground garage bands from Amsterdam. Their first album 'Araban' featured some original songs in a surf/treble sound. Their second, called 'Hasheeda' is a masterpiece. It's so much more than just surf. There are greek, blues, dutch influences and also Arabic, as in the great song 'Samira' which features a koran singer. The musicians are all good but it's lead guitarist Phantom Frankie who steals the show with his amazing play, some bits on 'Vahim' are just amazing.
