Hank Jones' relaxed keyboard style allows for playful collaboration with bassist Ron Carter and drummer Grady Tate. This balanced session includes a Latin track, two contemporary ballads, and a classic standard. Jones' solo piano version of "Oh, What a Beautiful Morning" is featured in the Smithsonian Jazz Piano collection. Ogerman's "Favors" is another standout, appearing on multiple live recordings by Jones. The only original track is "Minor Contemplation," a dynamic bop piece. A top-notch performance from a true expert.
