A contemporary slice of Yolngu-funk direct from East Arnhem Land.

The group's debut single 'Gatjumak' fuses funk, house & boogie with intangible indigenous tradition. A dirt-road-tested party-jam led by the blind, keytar-weilding elder Andrew Gurruwiwi and delivered in his mother tongue, Yolngu Matha.

The previously-unreleased remix comes courtesy of Brisbane producers Walrii and RU! and twists the Yolngu-funk number with a poly-rhythic, broken-beat shuffle whilst retaining the heart and energy of the original.
