Funk Spectrum II

Funk Spectrum II doesn't quite delve as deep as its predecessor, perhaps due to the absence of co-compiler DJ Shadow. However, it retains and even surpasses the greatness of the first edition. Keb Darge and Kenny Dope bring together 20 unique tracks from the 70s, with the occasional detour to the disco era. This collection purely embraces the beauty of funk with confidence, never reaching the heights of the greats like James Brown or George Clinton, yet still capturing their spirit and style. In particular, "U.F.O." by Mickey & Them, "The Cissy's Thing" from Soul Seven, and "Give Up the Funk" by Pleasure Seekers are standouts!
