After Innervisions stirred righteous anger and despair, Stevie Wonder returned with Fulfillingness' First Finale, a relationship record. Its cover shows life as a wheel with images of Little Stevie, JFK, MLK, Motor Town Revue bus, a child with balloons, Taurus logo, and many Grammys. The songs and arrangements are the warmest since Talking Book, and Stevie croons of love's stages ("Creepin'", "Too Shy to Say", & "It Ain't No Use"). Its two singles are "Boogie on Reggae Woman" and "You Haven't Done Nothin'", directed at Nixon over Watergate. The album mostly features Stevie, with hints of Minnie Riperton, Paul Anka, Deniece Williams, & Jackson 5. The focus here is less than in his other classics, but Fulfillingness' First Finale still offers great songs.
