Takuya Kuroda's sixth album blends jazz, funk, hip-hop and soul across nine meticulously crafted tracks. Born in Kobe and trained at New School in NYC, Kuroda has performed with DJ Premier's BADDER band and collaborated with José James. This 2020 release explores the contrast between nature's greatness and human complexity through spiritual and raw grooves. Featuring uptempo jazz-funk cuts like 'ABC' and 'Moody', soulful pieces including 'Fade' and 'CHANGE', and reimagined classics from Ohio Players and Herbie Hancock, the album balances slick production with organic live instrumentation.
