SHIRAN and Bakal blend traditional Iraqi music with electronic production on this deeply personal collaborative album. Drawing from their half-Yemeni, half-Iraqi heritage, they recontextualise classic songs using analog synths, heavy basslines, and pulsing grooves.  Traditional instrumentation like qanun and ney flute intertwine with driving electronic elements, bridging past and present. The result is music that moves both physically and emotionally, designed for live performance and rooted in Iraqi Arabic vocal traditions.
