Saxophonist Sonny Stitt's 1975 album "Dumpy Mama" for Flying Dutchman is an example of his influential jazz playing. The LP features Stitt, tenorist Pee Wee Ellis, altoist Frank Strozier, pianist Mike Wofford, bassist Brian Torff, and drummer Shelly Manne, with Stitt playing alto on the track "It Might as Well Be Spring."
