The last studio album released by John Lennon during his lifetime. While considered a classic today, it was divisive when it was released in 1980, with a feeling that it was too 'safe' of an album, which is interesting to look back on in hindsight, as Lennon was murdered three weeks after its release.
Almost immediately this changed, and the record was looked on as a masterpiece, a blissful time capsule of the last moments of Lennon's life living in marital bliss.
