Pink's debut album, Can't Take Me Home, was helmed by executive producers L.A. Reid and Babyface, who put a skittering, post-jungle rhythm in the backbone of club-ready dance-pop productions reminiscent of TLC's 1999 classic Fanmail. Pink's talent shines through in her soulful vocal performances, expertly layered with drum machines and sultry slow grooves. Though the songs don't necessarily make an immediate impression, multiple plays reveal their craftsmanship. All in all, Can't Take Me Home is a solid debut effort, thanks to Reid and Babyface's production and Pink's engaging talent.
