This particular album, according to Double J, was one of their top picks for 2023, ranking at #16 on their Album Of The Year Countdown. With a mid-January release, it served as the perfect soundtrack for our late Australian summer. Its genre may be difficult to define; some might say it falls under alt-country, with hints of Gillian Welch, while others might hear classic rock influences, reminiscent of Chrissie Hynde. Perhaps it could even be considered indie-folk, with a lighter and brighter touch, similar to Jen Choler.
