Midan’s latest album, Letter To Brazil, honors the rich musical heritage of Brazil. The Cologne-based producer, DJ, and crate digger infuses his passion for Bossa Nova, Samba, and MPB into this 17-track collection. In the summer of 2023, Koralle sought refuge from Bologna’s heat by renting a small seaside hut near Ravenna. One evening at a bar on Bassona beach, he reconnected with Francesco Giampaoli, an experienced jazz and world musician. Having collaborated previously, Koralle visited Francesco’s studio—filled with analogue equipment and instruments—the next day. Their daily sessions over the following weeks resulted in the creation of uniquely captivating music, which we are excited to present to you in the coming months.
