Alone Together

An early US session from trumpeter Terumasa Hino in stretched-out, edgy modal jazz. Long, open tracks showcase fierce horn work from Hino on trumpet and flugelhorn alongside Steve Grossman's bold tenor and soprano sax. Motohiko Hino's dynamic drumming and the soulful contributions of Harold Mabern on electric piano and Richard Davis on bass round out this unique lineup. The 18-minute title track "Introduction/Alone Together" anchors the album, with originals "Satsuki" and "Make Left" completing the set.
