Achtung Baby
Thirty years on, Achtung Baby remains a landmark moment in U2's evolution. Bono called it "the sound of four men chopping down The Joshua Tree"—a stripped-down reinvention that earned a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance and defined the band's 1990s sound. Recorded across six months at Berlin's Hansa Studio and Dublin's Windmill Lane, this seventh studio album was shaped by legendary producers Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno alongside Steve Lillywhite, with Flood on engineering duties. Released 18th November 1991, it spawned five iconic singles: The Fly, Mysterious Ways, One, Even Better Than The Real Thing, and Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses.
