Band on the Run was a hit, and McCartney recorded it primarily with Linda and Denny Laine. With new additions, Joe English and Jimmy McCulloch, Wings were reborn for the 1975 album, Venus and Mars.

The title track's acoustic sound saluting the arena vibe, followed by "Rock Show," set the tone. The rest of the album included rocking pop, ballads, and whimsy, all with signature production. "You Gave Me the Answer" offered a soft-shoe, "Spirits of Ancient Egypt" a psychedelic vibe, and "Magneto and Titanium Man," a '50s rock feel. McCartney's sweet "Listen to What the Man Said" rounded out the set. A consistent listen, it was crafted for an arena tour.
