Return of the Boom Bap is the debut solo studio album by American hip hop musician KRS-One. It was released on September 28, 1993 via Jive Records. Recording sessions took place at D&D Studios and Battery Studios in New York City through August 1992 to April 1993. Production was handled by DJ Premier, Norty Cotto, Showbiz, Kid Capri and KRS himself, with co-production from Douglas Jones.
The album peaked at #37 on the Billboard 200 and #5 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart in the United States. Return of the Boom Bap produced the two singles: "Outta Here" and "Sound of Da Police".
