Sparse yet richly improvised, the album showcases Cherry's virtuosity across pocket trumpet, piano, and wooden flute, complemented by Ed Blackwell's uninhibited drumming. While hints of Cherry's later global musical explorations emerge, the foundation here remains deeply rooted in liberated jazz played with a sophistication that eclipses many of his peers. This first instalment features "Total Vibration", "Sun Of The East", "Brilliant Action", and "Terrestrial Beings" – four tracks that exemplify why these sessions remain essential listening.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0397/2773/files/MockUpcopy-Recovered-Recovered-Recovered_0b17745d-7889-4419-ab65-e596040aa042.jpg?v=1791590854
https://www.ohjeanrecords.com/products/mu-first-part
Oh!
