La Nueva Onda De Brasil

Tamba Trio (Helcio Milito, Bebeto Castilho and Luiz Eça) released their first LP 'La Nueva Onda De Brasil' in 1962 and quickly became one of the most popular bossa jazz combos out of Brazil. By the mid 60s the band would expand becoming Tamba 4 and Luiz Eça would record his first albums as a leader.

Trained as a classical pianist, Eça’s style was a mix of jazz and pop then blended into bossa resulting in a fresh and unique sound that evolved over the years towards an even more eclectic blend.
